Lower Parel -SMART City

Lower Parel leads the pack among the six nominated regions in Mumbai under the smart city programme. 

Lower Parel has both residential and commercial use.  It is the new CBD of Mumbai.

Lower Parel has a very different connotation as far as traffic is concerned, as people can walk to work. Walkability is an important criterion for Smart City development. Many residential towers both in Luxury and Mid Level Segments are under construction, and once completed, there will be many people who will walk to work. It will change skyline of Mumbai.

Lower Parel is the only area in Mumbai with five suburban railway stations nearby: Lower Parel, Elphinstone, Currey Road, Chinchpokli and Mahalaxmi. A monorail station is also likely to come up close to Lower Parel, thus providing good connectivity to citizens via the mass transit system.

New projects like India Bulls SKY and Lodha World Crest are nearing completion. Others like Marathon ERA, Phoenix Towers, Lodha Primero, Casa Grande are already completed.
